Well no wonder, so was I when I read it! But men are like that, I agree that same are very good, much better than us very often but when it comes to unfaithfulness.... they do it more than us, well I think they do. Now statistics say we are more unfaithful, but somehow I don't believe it. For what about the brothels? They are full of men! How many are there for women? So what Philip's done is not really the exception, it is the rule.

Thank you very much, it is a very good idea. I love taking children to see those kind of cultural activities. When I was a child, they did it with me and I am sure that is why I now go. It is something one remembers. The problem in Madrid is time! When do you do it? And also children have so many activities now that it difficult to have a moment to do something.

You are probably right. Philip regrets what he has done because he is conscious of what he has done. But I think Zapp has a morale too, think of his reaction whem Mary told him about her abortion, he was horrified!
I think they both have a morale though a different approach to sex, that is where the difference lies. Do you agree?
Well, I think that everybody have a diferent thought in every items. It is true that Zapp has is own morale in particular cases but this is the exception that confirms the rule. Zapp is selconfident and this is good, but he is also selfish and maiby he is in love with himself, his acts are always right, and never regrets nothing, because he did everything he wants, and when he wants, with not guilty thoughts.
In my opinion Zapp is like most people in United States, very directly and impacient, maybe he thinks that the world is made for him and when he arrives to England and nobody is interesting in him, he doesn´t understand that.

I spent with my family The Christmas Day and the next Sunday I am travelling to Málaga because my husband´s family always gather there ( they are five sisters and brothers and there are three of them that they live in Mal, and it is a tradition to be together in the New year day) but I have to do it! It´s very bored for me, instead of we being a lot , at least twenty people but we always do the same: eating and drinking, after we tiding up a litlle ( only the women, of course....!!!)and pulling over to the side the chairs because they take up a lot and dancing again and again the same songs year after year....what a nuisance!!!! dou you realize that I don´t feel like going? In such a way I don´t like The Christmas; in these days, there are a lot people that they must do somethings that they don´t want ( for exemple, to be with people that they don´t get on well ...)

I agree with you for children but not for us who are a little older. Yes, I am still in Santander and will remain here for the whole Xmas, my father gave us a little fright today as he was a little dizzy and my mother thought the end had come. Thank God he recovered, but it was a shock.

I want to tell you sorry but I am aware that I am the sole person that I am writting? or I,ve been writting for the past days? in the blog and it means that you have to browse every day for revising it; on the other hand and like it treats of me you have work a lot but if I didn´t make a lot mistakes I shouldn,t be me....
I realized that after words like instead of, according to, due to...etc I must use pron.pers,didn,t I? and after if it had a verb , it would take in gerund.
With respect to the verb to pull over only uses when you are in a car, do you know what I mean????
When a verb express activity, it doesn´t take in gerund?.. therefore I put in the last pot: eating, drinking, tidying up...

..it is only used.., when a verb expresses activity it doesn't take the gerund..,
Not necessarily there are certain verbs that take the gerund whether they indicate activity or not.
I think you sometimes complicate the structure a lot keep it simple and not like in Spanish. S+V+O+A that's the one you have to do.
My father is so and so... my mother is worried, but maybe he pulls it off, he is still hungry.

Dear Marta, I am very sorry about your father, my condolence. As Begoña said, you always talk a lot about him in the class and you have been with him until the end, that is a good consolation. I turned out a litlle difficult...but in the end we did it.

Yes, Xmas is exhausting specially if you organise something at home and have to do all the work. Because nobody helps that much.

I think that teachers' job is really important. They have much responsibility. They can make a student love maths or hate them, for example. If a student doesn't want to study, they can do nothing, but they should motivate the student to have the desire to learn more.

I went to academy the last Wednesday and I admit that at first I didn´t feel like to go anything because I was a little lazy after not going nearly a month, but it was a funny class ( the theacher was nice and he did a dynamic class,because we participated a lot and his favourite word was: fantastic!!!! ) and I was astounded because I rather understood him.

I has been so busy for the last few days because my husband spent several days in Madrid and therefore I didn,t write anything on the blog because I prefered doing other things....do you understand me? but unfortunately he went out this morning; he flight to Brussels, he´ll spend some days overthere and after he´ll be back to Rabat.

I strongly believe that they deserve to get Oscar´s reward, there will be to wait for a few weeks....

Thank you very much for your condolences and for what you say to all of us. It means a lot to me, I sincerely appreciate your support and attitude, I really feel happy in our class too. I think you are a very well-suited group and it is very lucky that you have met. I have had many classes and I can say that yours is an outstanding one. You should try and keep together in the future because you work well as a group and that is very imp for learning.
I am very glad too. I hated I2 and now I like it and it is thanks to you, you are all very participative and nice and you have been very nice to me in these difficult circumstances.
As for the week-end, well I had quite a nice one. Fede came and we were invited to a nice restaurant called Sacha it is very good, then Pablito, who was alone because both his parents were away came for the week-end and I had to take him to his football match, lost 3-1, the good news was that he scored the goal, I unfortunately missed THE moment as I was marking your essays. Anyway we have survived the week-end well and we handed him back safely and sound!
It is fantastic that tomorrow is a holiday!! I will go round the shops to see if I spot something to buy... that is always a nice plan for a girl!

Hi Marta, I support you as your secretary but also as the deputy delegate I have to say something: We , the students, have been talking about the way you run the classes and, we think that we spent a lot of time talking about the novel and we don't spent enough time to the course book. Thinking about the exam perhaps we need to spent more time to the "boring book".

Vicente, thank you for your help and suggestins. Yes we have done the book for two days on the run, but we do the book once a week and the novel once a week too. I'll try to do the boring book a bit more, let's say a day and a half... what do you think about that? But you have to remind me as I get carried away.. and I forget.
However I think that the novel is by far the best thing that you can do for your English learning. You learn more with the novel than with the book, be sure of that. This is food for thought: most Spanish students have worked with a boring book all their lives and how well do they speak English?

What about your week end? The mine was fantastic and I took advantage for doing a lot things, I was to day above all in my work and like Marta I went shopping and I bought some things..for instance, a pair of shoes, a handbag...etc.
Marta, today I have to go out quite a bit sooner than ussual because I arrange an appointement with a friend, she was born in Rabat ( I knew her overthere ) She is rather pretty and nice because her father is from Marrocco and her mother is from Russia, I bet you that it is a very interesting mix !!!! She´s tall and thin. She has blonde hair and her skin is tan. She´s blessed with a green marvellous ayes.... and she is very clever and intelligent!! she gets by in several languages like english, french, italian, russian and of course dariya ( it is the arab language in Marrocco )and it is very funny because we speak between us in English and french at the same time...what a mess!!!

First of all, I have to say to you (Marta) that I´m very happy about my last English composition, it was my first 8!!!!and like I told you in class I ´m going to take a photograph and I,m going to put on the wall of my room and when I feel sad I will have a look it!! jejeje.
On the other hand, my date with my friend was very interesting an funny, although I felt a litlle tired but we were talking all time en English!!! ( very few times I said to her something in french ) and I was surprised because I didn´t stop sepaking in English!!!By the way, she isn´t married and she hasn´t boyfriend!!! and I don´t truly believe it because she´s rather pretty!!! Even though someone invited me to see Tarantino´s movie at the cinema, I wouldn´t go. I know Tarantino is a greatest and succesfull director, but I will never forget when I saw Pulp Fiction. Everybody enjoyed with violent and sadic scenes at the cinema, while I was scared and horrified with the whole film.

( once again!!!) I arranged this date the last week, due to my eldest sister wanting to show her beauty products and one sample of italian jewellery in other things! The verb to be never with DO only in the imperative "don't be late" for eg. You don't have to use the future with hope, it is a wish so why the future? Another thing is the next verb.... there you may have to depending on what you want to say.

I don't know how a person can fall in love with a vampire! He is going to end up sucking your blood or someone else's. I´ve just read the blog and at first I have to admit that I prefer watching films that they don´t make me a lot fear and Begoña made me laugh when I read the kind of films you like ( perhaps it´s our generation!!) the fact my favourit film is "Gone with the wind" performed by Clark Gable and the marvellous Vivien Leigh!!!! Although I like to wath horror films ( some times) but I don´t do it often because I ussualy live alone and I get nervous at night... However my twin sister loves this kind of movies,one of her favourite films is Dracula by Bram Stoker;it´s directed and produced by Francis Ford Coppola and their main starts are Gary Oldman, Keanu Reeves, Winona Ryder.etc. I suposse that I like very much because for me the actor Gary Oldman is a handsome endeed....

I browsed a little the boring book and I saw one article about Henry VIII´s fifth wife ( thanks Lara for your comment in the blog ), at the end I read something interesting in it!!!!! because I´m fond of History in general ; In fact the last winter we could wath ( to emit??? ) on tv the historical serie The Tudors I read a quite bit in Google about this serie and it set in England and Ireland and his main actor is the iris Jonathan Rhys Meyers. My God I´m speechless he´s sturdy!!! he blesses of marvellous, beautiful and overwhelming green eyes!!!

Of course you are scared, it is normal it is not your subject, you are not an expert..but don't worry. First everybody understands you are not an expert and at least you are there to entertain them.
Secondly the students will know LESS than you be sure of that.
Thirdly speak slowly and don't forget the S. And make them do exercises or talk, so that they have to do the effort not you. Give them a situation and make them talk or make them tell you what they have done, or what they do... you will be ok.

I think that series is really bad. Henry viii was fat and red, how is it possible that he is forever young in that series? It is not faithful to history so I don't like it. Henry was red-haired, everybody knows that. The main actor is NOT Henry, there is a very good series done in the 80 by the BBC, get hold of that and you will see the difference.

Well my week-end was fine in Santander but my car broke down! So I had to return by taxi and the car is coming I don't know when, hopefully in a couple of days. And let's hope it is not something important because as I said the other day... cars are really expensive. Thank God I have not spent anything in the sales!
