I only wanted to say that I went to the exhibition this morning and I have enjoyed it very much! I wondered at the magnificent realism of some paintings and I laughted with others. The only thing is there were A LOT of people and tourists seeing the exhibiton, in spite of being Friday morning.
I think that you are going to enjoy it, too.

Marta, Can I make you a question? In the last essay you corrected me a phrase and I have a doubt. I wrote down "this book could be very interesting" and you corrected like "this book will be interested". Can you explain me? because I tought that with "could" It would be a hypothesis and with "will" It would be a fact and I used "could" because I don´t know If the book will be interesnting or not. Do you know what I mean?

Yes, I went to the exhibition yesterday with my friends.
I didn´t like the fisrt part with paints about people but later It became more interesting with caricatures, modern sculptures, photos... and from my point of view, my favorite one, the very very big work in the gound floor, hahaha. It was very funny, made with plastic.

Thinking about Vampi's post it would be nice to post a few comments about our lives. This is related to the novel as we see that neither Phillip nor Morris are happy with their lives...
As for me I will say that now I am happy with my life, but when I was younger I was not so happy although I have had many things and I started working straight after university, but there are many things that you think will happen in life that maybe don't come and I sort of kept expecting them. But then I began to realise what I had and I could say as Vampi, I am happy with my life. This thank God happened some years ago, and it is really much better to have that attitude. Things are the same but what is important is the way you look at them, your attitude. Don't you think?

I remember you that today I have to leave the class earlier than ussual ( at 15,30h pm ) because my flight takes off at 18,30h pm). I will miss the following class, it means, I won´t be on Monday. If it had what ever thing that I had to do, please somebody tells me through the blog.
I am going to spend until next Friday in Rabat and after we will make an excursion to Chefchaouen, but I´ll try to read the English book....at least I take it....

I have been in Rabat already!!! ( is it the correct expression?
The wheather is better than Madrid, it doesn´t rain and there are a bit more degrees of temperature, it is heater here than there.
The flight was smooth and I was reading all time but in French, sorry! Marta but you know... Ussually when I come here I get the flight Madrid-Rabat-Madrid ( You can travel like this since the past January, before there had not direct flight ) but in this occasion I travelled to Casablanca and thanks God!!! because yesterday I knew the other one it took three hours and thirty minutes of delayed. I got a car and it took me one hour and thirty minutes to go from Casablanca´s Airport to Rabat but I didn´t mind because there is a good and wide highway.

Yesterday I visited the exhibition of Caixa Forum about "Skyscraper, from Babel to Dubai".
The exhibition´s comments are on the wall and can be read in Spanish or English (large comments, not small ones next to the frame)
I found myself reading the exhibition´s comments in English.
Never before I had done it in a museum. Imagine you are visiting the Tate Modern and there isn´t choice

What about your long week end? The mine, it has been fantastic, althoug it has been raining for a few days, but I don´t care because Autumn station I like so much contrary to some people that the bad weather gets them down
Yesterday, we went to Chefchaouen, I recommend you to visit this city. It is a nice, small, cozy and striking village with their colours white and blue houses; it is surrounded of mountains and it is perfect to asmatic people because you can breathe fresh air all time ( I rememberd of my twin sister because She is asmatic person )We spent more than five hours walking, getting up an down through alleys and finally we sat down in the center square drinking a hot tea and regarding at the tourits and the local people. The worst it was the motorway because it took us more 3,30 hours from Rabat to Chefchouen , there isn´t highway and there are a quite curves on the road...

you can see photos, models, movies, interviews with engineers and arquitects... about the highest buildings in the world from the mitic Babel´s Tower to Dubai´s skyscraper, passing Eiffel´s Tower, American and Asian skyscraper...
It is curious how men try to reach heaven since antiquity.
The exhibition is quite good and interesting. And if you don´t like paintings don´t worry, there are a lot of audiovisual material.

How it was your strike´s day! I'm one more of a lots of people in Madrid that today we have decided to go to work. In my opinion, it isn't the most appropiate moment to celebrate this strike, mainly for economic reasons. Probably there are a lots of reasons that justify the measure but I consider that the trade unions are protecting their own interests and nowadays they aren´t protecting the general interests of the workers. I'm so sorry if someone is offended for my words, but it's my opinion.
I would like to know what are your opinions about this topic.

Andrés, how was your strike day?..,of the great number of people who decided to go to work.., there a lot of reasons.., if anyone is ofended by my words.., what your opinions on this topic are..,
Why should anyone be ofended? I hope we are in a free country and we can express our opinions. So that is what I am going to do. I think pretty much the same as you. It is not the right moment. What we should do is work for this country and there is not time for complaints. All the politicians are very similar, I don't know what they are sacrificing when everything they have is paid by us. As for the Trade Unions, they are obsolete, in my opinion. And all the political parties and trade unions should be financed by their supporters not by all the Spanish population!!

It was a sunny day when I decided to go to the exhibition about British Art. I took a bus and then I was walking fifteen minutes to the Juan March Fundation. There was a long queue at the door, I thouthg it must be something else than the exhibition and It was, There was a concert.
I can go into without waiting. I took advantage to the explanation that a woman was given to a group of students and it was very interesting.
In the last part of the exhibition there are some works from Pop Art, one is the famous cover of the Sgt Pepper`s album from the Beatles.
The cover shows many famous peoples like Marilyn, Einstein, Groucho Marx, etc. To make the cover the artist, Peter Blake made a collage at real size with all the people and then The Beatles dressed like sargents posed infront of the collage and the artist took the picture.

Hi friends! I,ve just read the last post and I absolutley agree with Marta and Andres about Day Strike. As far as I am concerned this kind of action only gets behind to go ahead and sincerely though the people gather we don´t achieve anything. We were arrogant and so clumsy, we wasted our money, time and intelligence...it has been ( it was??) a bit pity not to pay attention in the others patherns ( for the good an bad things ) and we made a lot mistakes about all in the construction.., personally I was one of a lot people affected for this economic crisis, I was made redundant by my bosses due to these circumstances. I have worked for the past five years in thecnical office of arquitectes ( we built the famous Guadalpin´s Hotel in Málaga and I daresay that we were the first (or one of them) exemple what can not be done.

Well I am sorry and I am positive you are right. In the end we are all victims of the crises in one way or another. The only ones who have not suffered so much, as far as I can see, are the politicians! I can't bare them, they have ruined our country, our education, our mentality and even now I fear that the only thing that really worries them is not to lose their job and their salary! Well salaries, one should say, as they have more than one.

Jóse you have to try and coordinate the verbs, if you speak in the present keep to the present or if in the past keep to the past. I would also recommend that you use the S+V+O+A pattern so as to avoid direct translation from Spanish.

Hi! I think those who can go to north spain frecuently are very lucky. I have family in Palencia; but not in Galicia, Asturias, Cantabria... i´m discovering this land with little trips since last 5 years. Last one was two weeks ago, and I enjoyed it a lot, it was to Orense to see their terms, and I recommend it to you all. They are amazing; Prexigueiro´s ones specially. =)
I would tell you more advices in case you want to travel to see them.

First at all I´m very glad your (Vampi)surgery there had been successfull and I hope you get better litlle by little ( unfortunatley, I Know how you can feel, at least akward and uncomfortable because when I was twenty years old I suffered the same surgery but in my case all it was so complicated and finally I had two more ....I remembered with deep horror...
On the other hand Congratulations Annie, you are so brave and I advice you go on writting in the blog, it is so fun!!!

What about your Saturday? Mine it has been quiet but I prefer it like this, after the party that I had last Thursday. I share my opinion with you ( Marta ) to be the party´s host it is simply horrible! In the end, we were "only" eleven people and they went at 12,30h at night and it took me two hours and therty minutes!!!to tidy up, to clean, to wipe, to washing up....etc, but the worst thing it was the floor; I had to sweep and to scrub two times! above all the kitchen´s floor I wasn´t able to get rid off stains!!!! But I bet you that I completly forgot my hadeache and flu because it was a marvelous, wonderful,great,cozy, amazing....etc (jeje, I remerber of your tip: to use a lot adjectives....) party. I will do it another time!!! despite I went to bed at three o´clock on overnight...

Congratulations, the party seems to have been a success, but it is a lot of work. Not everybody knows how much! It means a lot of buying carrying cooking decorating cleaning and then helping everyone to get everything, serving and entertaining. And then when everybody goes you have to clean everything, put it back in its place tidy etc. It is also expensive. It is very nice to have a party but I often think a restaurant saves a lot of work and trouble.
I have a very small house so all my parties are outside, it is a blessing!
By the way how about Phillip's party? What do you think of that?
I think Philip´s party is very strange. First they start with alcoholic drinks and after that they have dinner out of the house where they are celebrating the party...

Marta, thanks for tell us about the BBC serie "Pride and Prejudice" with Colin Firth. I didn´t Know the BBC serie but I have just seen "the lake scene" and it is great. Indeed I am looking forward to see the serie.
I watched the movie and I really loved it (Keira Knightley was succesful). Althought I always thought that the actor who plays Mr.Darcy role (Matthew Macfadyen) was not the best one, because his facial expressions was of a bitter man not for someone proud and haughty.
"Death at a Funeral" is the name of the English movie (not American) that Lara told us, but she didn´t remember its title. I saw it and it was really fun. And the main role is the same actor of Mr.Darcy movie, not the BBC serie.
Yesterday, I did a comment in there,but obviously I should do it wrong because my comment is not in the page. Anyway I did not do the reading of the book yet, so I can not talking about it, but in my opinion is a good book, however I never hear nothing about the author. I don't see that he lose his head for only to participate in a hippy party like the one it is described in the novel. I think that he is only enjoy of the experience that it was run into him by chance. But this doesn't mean that he lose his head.
Marta, I am very sorry but at the end I could´t go to the school, because I had a business meeting and it last more than ussual; by the way, I´m working near to the academy, it only takes me ten minutes walking and for future ocassions, is it possible to come into the class eventhough was thirty minutes later? I don´t know to bother but like Paz I hate missing English classes.

Nowadays, are you teaching French like me, aren´t you? I don´t know witch is your level, but I would like to talk to you about French´s "knowledges"....for exemple, tomorrow I have to speack to my class-mates about a French novel that I have just read, its tittle: La petite fille de Monsieur Lihn, written by Philippe Claudle, do you know it? Personally, I liked so much although it came about to sad but tender story...
