I think it has possibilities but it is certainly not a novel that will be in the cannon.

Carlos, I am sorry you think that the novel is boring, but what can we read? It is not easy to find something that you can handle, when you improve your level we will have a better choice.

About the book I disagree with Carlos. I think that the reason is not that the novel is boring. In fact it difficult for our reading level because we don't understand the meaning of many words. We are suffering of that and then we lose interest and patience in reading.
I'm Luis, again. Marta and classmates, I wanted to say " I'm trying this method" or " I will try this method" or " I'm going to try this method" in muy first comment. ¿Which do you think is the most correct way to express the idea of action that has just started? Thanks.
I'm the anonymous Luis. I doubt very much that we are going to cry with the novel argument, except by the effort of translation it , as says Nino. I think that sometimes excess tragedy become comedy.

Do you really find it so difficult? I suppose you have to get used to the vocabulary and the style. I'll get better you'll see that I am right.

Do you really think so? I am positive that we will cry. If the novel is well-written we will cry if it is not we won't.
I agree that if the tragedy is exaggerated it becomes funny. But a Little bit of crying will do us no harm, I personally would like to cry.

Hi, I am Carlos Couceiro, I just finish to read the chapter four, I think it is interesting, but it is a bit sad for me.
There is a lesson to practise speaking which I am going to give on Mondays fron 4.30 to 6 pm.

I agree that Chapter four is sad. I prefer reading about funny things, but in this chapter there is a bit of intrigue and this is interesting.
I'm Luis ,a bit better, thanks. I have finished reading Chapter 4 and still do not understand how two older children (12 and 9) have problems to diferenciate between a farm or a concentration camp. Is it that they have never left their city or seen the country? Too many incredible and innocent contradictions in this text.

I was not refering to the denial of the Holocaust by some Germans. I tried to explain that the author of novel don't transmits well possible mental age of the children. They seem younger than really they're .

Darling careful with the sentence structure you translate from Spanish! Don't use the English S+V+O+A, and remember that the aux DO is followed by the INF WITHOUT TO.

I just finished Reading the firts part on chapter five. I think that Bruno´s father is very hard with him.
Nowadays, when a child has a problem, his father tries to do something to solve his problem, althoug his father doesn´t know how to do it.
Carlos, the first part of., even if his father doesn't know..,
Things have changed, it is true, now children are treated very well, but before it was not so. Children got no explanations. I suppose it is better now, but I think we have overdone it.

About the novel, as it was said last day in class, Bruno and Gretel don't like what they see from de Window. I think that they can't believe that this thing so horrible happens in a place where their father is te chief. So they want to talk him.

I suppose deep down that is what is happening to them. It must be a shock to see a concentration camp. We can't forget that at that time people were more used to seeing nasty things than we are nowadays. Now everything has to be beautiful and look clean and before it was not so.

Yesterday at night I came back alive , safe and sound.. The trip was very interesting. Sometimes what you see is not very nice. The area is still in a difificult situation. I was also in the Museum of the Holocaust and saw many pictures and papers of horror in Auschwitz.

Well I see there are no ideas about BRUNO yet. Here is one:
Following Carlos' idea about Bruno appearing on the first page dead under a stone.. I have thought, how about Bruno being a naughty pig who finally dies in that dramatic way and is turned into a piggy bank by a fairy or an elf or something and he has to fight back to life doing good things with the money that people put inside him?

I am delighted because there is little to do in Santander. This afternoon I might go to an exhibition by a friend of mine who is exhibiting her barnacle sculptures! She does great things with barnacles. Earings nechlaces bangles orchestras anything and everything.
Still thinking..... my brother thinks my idea is not bad, and he says that maybe writing one sentence each we can create a story too, I had about it too... maybe that is the best idea after all.

Today is Saint Antón, animal’s patron saint. At five o'clock in the Hortaleza Street, next to our school , there is a procession and you can bring your pet to bless it . The piggy bank Bruno should be.
