Draft Webpage & Winning Essays!

Whenever suits you best, please send me the the winning essays and the info about their authors, as a Word doc. You don't need to use complete or real names if you don't want to. It's your decision, just remember this is public. Please, get in touch with your teachers, and send whatever to Michelle. By the way, if teachers at the English Department want, we can create a section to publish students' contributions, and publish some of the comments on these blogs and other essays, whatever. Whatever you all wish.
How are we going to publish the three essays? That's a bit of problem on a blog, so I drafted a Webpage for the English Department. Please, check it out and tell me whatever. Draft Webpage for the English Department

Thanks Michelle, you are there way before we think about it. I think Talking people is a fantastic option and thanks very much for offering it, we have to tell the students to send it to you so that you can upload it (if that is the right term), we´ll do it tomorrow we are still under the spell of Friday and today we had to put all the school chairs back and all that so we haven´t really thought about anything. Alvaro sent an email saying that he had had a wonderful time and that everything was fantastic, that all the students were really nice.

Wow! :) Yes, please, don't rush. No problem!
Yes, you have mastered the Internet language! Congratulations! Well done!
Did you check out the draft webpage? You can click on the sections, but those sections are just a draft. We need to design which sections we want to have there. If you like, in Exam Month we could all meet and learn to use the Film Club and make some decisions around the potential webpage. It would be great if we could all be there, so that we include everybody's needs and proposals. :)

A very good idea about the meeting during the exam week but you are too positive: one day is not enough to learn we are very bad!!! NO I haven´t seen the draft where is it? Or rather where was I meant to look for it? I´m afraid I´ll never find my way around.

AhÁ! I was wondering! Look, see on the opening thread here that there is a web address to talkingpeople/eoigoyaingles? Well, click there! Not all the sections have things, but I started copying some of the quotes from our thread "April 25" in the section of the blogs. Check it out and tell me what you (all) think, and what you want me to add in each and every of the sections, and/or if you want to delete or change any section.
The truth is that I'm not doing too well, again. So I don't really know when I'll be back. But I'll be back at some point, hopefully!!! Cross your fingers, people! I've been 3 days without much pain, and then back to square one. :(
Shucks!
Anyway, this only means that I have to exercise as much as I can and then lie and sit on my satie for longer periods, which is good for my reading and for watching documentaries and movies on TV!
Leaving now. Hugs

PS: Remember to take your mouse to the purple area on the left. That is your webpage navigation bar. It's vertical. You can click on all the lines, to get to the different contents. It's all a draft.

Hello people!
Thanks, Carmen!
Well, we're drafting this little webpage which has already grown - today from 23 pages to 36, if I got it right. :) I've uploaded some more sample stuff, which may be kept or taken down, depending on what teachers in the Department say. I've added Marta's feedback and ideas and some CEFR stuff, plus the sections under "Curso". Tell me what you think. Oh, I also made the webpage wider, so we can fit more text.
Nighty night!

Check this out (click on my nick above) - it's the winning essays and an example of the kind of slide shows we can do with selected photos (number them if you send them, OK?).

Dear Michelle, not only is it wonderful but it is also very well organized.

It is amazing discovering such a wide range of chances all these blogs give to the students so that we can improve our English.

I am looking forward to having enough time, after doing the final exam, to study quietly all the links and sections added to this marvellous work of yours.

Good job!

Oh, thanks so much, Roberto and Marta! I've been working really hard because I really wanted to open up a space on the Net for all the good work being done here to be shown to the world! I'm glad you like it as it's my farewell pressie! :) I'm really sad but I'm also happy because I know... "This is the beginning of a beautiful friendship" :)

I´ve been having a look to the Web del Departamento and it is very good for doing exercises and studying to pass the exam! A very good idea, it is incredible what you are doing, really. Thanks!

The forum for students' questions, comments and discussions around the English language has been created on the Students' Webpage at our Department Webpage. Give it a try!
